Running out of Welling Football Club, and kindly funded by the National Lottery, this group gives you time to share your worries and feel validated. Through compassionate discussion and peer support, you can find solutions to your problems and find your village. It will help you to feel less isolated and allow you to learn from others. You will meet other parents who you can turn to for support.
Outcomes for parents
- Learn how to feel more confident as a parent
- Get strategies to support young people who are struggling with School Refusal
- Learn ways to manage big emotions like anger and aniety
- Feel more confident in your role as a parent with regards to boundary setting, mindset, etc
- Learn how to communicate with confidence
- Meet other parents

- This is free to attend
- Drop in as often as you want or come just one time, it really is up to you.

- The group may be held in Bexley, but it is open to residents from Greenwich, Lewisham, Dartford, Bromley or wherever you live.

What happens during the evening?
The format of the evening is a coffee and a chat for the first 30 minutes, followed by an hour’s talk and then a wind down session.
Subjects covered to date include:
- How to manage anxiety
- The Teen Brain
- The emotional needs
- Self care.
- Self-harm
September’s focus will be on Self compassion, an important topic in the busy life of a parent.
