Sometimes when seeking therapy you might have some questions that you need to get answers to. Below are a list of frequently asked questions, but of course if you need clarification on any points just get in touch and remember I do offer a free 10 minute no obligation chat.

Are you insured?

Yes I am fully insured

Do you have a criminal records check?

Yes I have an enhanced DBS check which allows me to work with vulnerable adults and children alike.

Are the sessions online or face to face?

I work both online and face-to-face depending on your location. If you chose to work online sessions would be carried out on zoom. Some therapeutic techniques will will need to happen face to face but we can discuss this further in our sessions.

If you work with my child can I come in to the session

If you want to sit in with your young person during the session, then that is perfectly ok with me. I do offer the option to work alone with young people also.

Is what I tell you confidential?

Yes the things we discuss in our sessions are confidential unless it is something which is of concern to me. If this does need further discussion or referral then I will let you know. I detail this in my safeguarding policy.

What happens to my data?

When I have completed a session, I do need to make a written record. This is anonymised. If I get paper forms these are scanned and stored securely online . Record keeping is an essential part of my work and you will receive information about confidentiality at the same time as you receive the registration forms.

Will you tell me what you talk to my young person about?

No unless I need to. If there is a safeguarding concern I would contact you.

How many sessions will I need to have?

It depends, and it will be up to you. Usually, people have between 3 and 12 sessions with me, once a week.

How can I pay?
