Human Givens Therapy

What is Human Givens Therapy?

Human Givens therapy provides effective, fast and practical help. Your therapist will listen to you, ask questions, discuss therapeutic techniques with you either online of face-to-face.
It is a logical way of looking at things, and its principles can be applied to anyone of any age.
You will usually start to feel better within 3 – 4 sessions. There will be no long term commitment or upfront payment.

Why choose a qualified Human Givens therapist?

Human givens therapy involves a client and therapist working together to facilitate long-lasting improvements in a relatively short period of time.
Being solution focussed, it usually only takes a few sessions to see a positive change in someone, which is really encouraging for clients who come to see a therapist. Re-living the past can be harmful and distressing, so there is very little dwelling on the past during sessions.

The therapy is tailored to you and personalised looking at your individual needs and resources.
Through collaboration, you therapist helps you to find solutions to your problems.

As a Human Givens Therapist
I can help you to…

  • Reduce anxiety. This may take the form of feeling stressed, panic attacks, fears, phobias, lack of confidence or over whelming pressure.
  • Break the cycle of depression. However low you feel now, you can soon start to wake up refreshed with a sense that life is meaningful again.
  • Resolve trauma – human givens therapistscan treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), however severe, effectively and quickly.
  • Manage anger – anger disorders damage health, increase the likelihood of an early death and risk to health. Anger causes enormous misery among relatives, colleagues and innocent bystanders. If you suffer from unreasonable anger, we can do something about it
  • Stop addictive behaviour which can destroy relationships and break down families. All forms of addiction can be overcome providing the person sincerely wants to stop the behaviour.
  • Relieve medical conditions. Many conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pain and migraine, have an emotional component. Stressful events often trigger an outbreak because emotions affect health – and vice versa.
  • Harmonise relationships. Relationship difficulties are often self-perpetuating. This is because our beliefs and reactions to each other may trigger patterns of behaviour that stop us solving them. When couples or families want to stay together but are having problems, the human givens approach can help.
