How it works

Head with words

Finding a therapist for some psychotherapy can be a really scary thought. Once you reach out to do it you might be wondering how it will work. Counselling, therapy and psychotherapy are all words with a similar meaning. When you find the right professional, it can make a real improvement to your life, especially if you have been struggling for a while. Finding the right connection with someone is vital for the success of the relationship, and here at Mental Health HQ we want to make sure that you find the right fit.

What happens next?

Once you contact us through email or phone, we will have a short discussion about what you are looking for through counselling. We will then arrange an appointment at a time and date to suit you at my counselling room in Welling DA16.

The first session will be an assessment and a chance to find out more about what you want from the therapy, and whether we can work together. There is no long term commitment from you or advance payment, you pay on the day.

Safeguarding

Everyone has a right to live a life free from harm. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Mental Health HQ is committed to safeguarding. All therapists and freelance consultants will follow the safeguarding policy . This will apply both in sessions with adults and children.
Everyone has a right to be safe, even if sometimes they might make decisions which are dangerous to them. In that instance for example, the professional would have a duty to respond and inform certain professionals. To access the policy please go to the relevant page by following the link
